If an additive is to be given, first move any fluid containers on the high hooks to the center hook. Then hang the container of additive on a high hook of the GYRO Fluid Hanger.
Remove the Blue cap from the top of the IV1000 drip chamber.
Attach the male Luer connector on the Secondary I.V. Set (V1921) to the top of the drip chamber.
Remove the protective cap on the Secondary I.V. Set (V1921) piercing pin and the protective cap from your additive. Insert the piercing pin into the additive outlet port. Adjust additive flow with the roller clamp.
